BRM News

Greetings all BRMEdge™ Clients:

We have exciting news for all BRMEdge clients; from the latest upgrade, to the new global module. NEW BRMEdge™ Upgrade: ...................
To all BRMEdge™ users, we recommend
upgrading to the latest version, 3.11.12.

Why should current clients of BRMEdge upgrade to v3.11?
. Unwanted Service Detection: This was available in the 3.10 system, but deserves additional mention. You now have the ability to mark a service as unwanted by service, by AFP Code, or by building a SPAM list of service descriptions you never want to see, and the system will automatically generate a case whenever these services occur. This is very cool!
. New Home Page Tiles: We have added several new tiles to the home page that the user can select:
  • New graph tile of Monthly Service Charges (Before Credit)
  • Report tile of total service charges by bank for the current month
  • Report tile of NIF balance total by bank for the current month
  • Report tile of top 10 AFP Services by volume for the current month
  • Report tile of top 10 AFP Services by charge for the current month
  • A new system graffiti tile, where users can enter system level notes viewable on the home page by all users
. Service Color Codes in the Bank Rate Table: We have added a color coding scheme to services that are listed in the bank rate table service grid to quickly show:
  • Service marked as retained = colored red
  • No calculation services = colored magenta
  • Services that only recalculate on detail accounts = colored green
  • Services that only recalculate on the summary accounts = colored orange
  • Services that have an invalid AFP Code assigned = colored blue
. New Inactive Bank Handling: We have added a new flag on the banks screen, so a user can mark a bank as inactive. This flag is also available for filtering in all of the reporting areas. This flag provides filtering to hide inactive bank(s). It does not force accounts within the bank to close.
. Super Notes Handling: The system allows users to enter notes on banks, accounts and services throughout the system. Previously, you had to go to specific screens to see notes. Now in statement maintenance, there is a notes icon next to the bank and account selector, as well as on the grid, for each service. If any notes have been entered for any of these items anywhere in the system, the icon will activate and the notes can be viewed directly from the statement maintenance screen.
. Holy Cow, automatic archiving of 822 files: We have added a file archiving feature to the 822 capture process that completes everything needed for the monthly process:
  • There are several new 822 automatic archiving options available that will help the user automatically keep their 822 posting folders clean and ready for using the monthly process that we teach.
. Wow! Statement Format Copy: You can now copy all of the settings from one statement format in a bank to another. Set up the detail statement format once, and copy those same settings to the summary format without repeating the process!
. Super Duper Budgeting Report Enhancement: Since we added the budgeting module, we now have the need to report on future time periods. The user is now able to build variable-time reports for budgeted statements.
.The user can now quickly and easily create account service exceptions en masse, through the use of a wizard.
. Additional Case Manager Fields: For all service type cases, the case manager record now shows both the service charge sent, and service charge calculated, for the offending service.
. Built-in column grouping on the case manager grid: This feature provides the ability to group various fields in the case manager grid.
. Subtotaling on the Case Manager Report: On the sort tab of a case manager report design, you can now choose to group AND subtotal by any of the fields you can sort. The reporting options are limitless! Additionally, you can filter the case manager report by account group codes, and other miscellaneous account codes.
.
BRMEdge accepts the Global Electronic Bank Services Billing Standard (BSB) file. With this new module, customers with global interests can process detailed balance, service charges, taxes, currencies, and adjustment data from international banks. This file format was defined within the TWIST XML Open Standards Environment, the global standard that Steve Weiland helped define.
