Users:
Our 2008 Vision Conference was a success! Here are a few
highlights.
2008 Vision Conference
...................
 |
September 11-12, 2008, the 12th annual Vision Conference was held at the historic Allerton
Hotel. The conference was kicked off with a joint session, with corporate and banking customers in attendance.
Attendees, in the post-conference survey, noted how much they learned from the user panel, networking, and a dynamic case study by
David Kosturko, of the USPS.
|
|
The User Panel provoked discussion on how to problem-solve. Users also voiced concerns, and provided feedback to WFG, in regard
to requesting future enhancements, which helps us prioritize improvements for future releases. Networking with other users was a great way to
learn more about account analysis practices. In fact, this is one of the more popular aspects of the user conference. Attendees are
able to share specific bank issues amongst themselves.
The Case Management topic generated lively discussions about dealing with false positive cases, case resolution, case grid views, effective use of notes/reminders and working cases from Banks, Accounts or Statements Modules.
David Kosturko's presentation focused on using BRMEdge for a nationwide bank
solicitation to reduce fees and consolidate banking relationships. The sheer scale of the USPS' operations was astounding!
We are planning on a joint panel of bank and corporate attendees for next year. Our goal is to further
enhance the vendor / customer relationship by opening up the lines of communication. You won't want to miss this! Stay tuned for next year's
conference dates, we will be announcing them soon.
2008 Vision Workshop.....................
The Vision Workshop was held a day before Vision, at MicroTek Chicago. Focus was on extended reporting
techniques, but entirely driven by the classroom's immediate concerns and needs. This intensive training session complements the Conference, to help
make you the best Edge user. According to
the post-Workshop surveys, attendees are already looking forward to next year. We hope to see you there!
2008 International AFP Service Codes and The BSB Global Statement - An Update
...........
In our last newsletter we discussed the 15 global financial institutions that had publicly committed to offering the new, global BSB electronic statement.
Now six of them, Barclays, Danske Bank, Citi, Deutsche Bank, Westpac and BNP Paribas, are producing BSBs which are being examined and evaluated by
BRMEdge™. As you may know, Weiland and GE have led the charge in creating the BSB standard. We are now working with the AFP, Paul Burstein
(formerly of GE), and a group of committed banks and corporates, to expand the AFP Service Code Set with a full range of international service codes.
Adoption of the BSB is gaining momentum. However, those of you who deal with banks outside of the US must continue to push your banks for full implementation
of the BSB standard. For more information, please visit the TWIST web page.
2008 AFP Domestic Service Codes at WFG
.........
WFG played an integral role in the 2008 AFP Service Code
updates, addressing all of the most recent additions to banks' cash management services. Contact customer support for assistance and subsequent requirements for updating your BRMEdge
system.

'ins and outs' of the Edge. She is devoted full time to helping Outsourced clients save money on bank fees.

|

Stephanie's tip: Maintain and monitor reporting codes and pricing in Edge each month. For example, when new accounts are
captured, be sure to apply any account group codes or cost center allocations prior to generating allocations or running monthly reports. When new
pricing has been agreed upon, update the Services table with the new prices prior to capturing the 822, for which the new pricing is effective.
This will ensure that case generation for service errors is as clean as possible.
