Greetings CAA™ Clients:
Our 13th annual Vision Conference was a success! Here are the highlights from the conference, including new and improved CAA 3.07 features and reports and
coming soon: CAA 3.08.
2009 Vision Conference
...........................
 |
By all accounts, this year's Vision Conference was the best ever. A great deal of
valuable information was shared, the "Weiland Players" performed a skit demonstrating ExHandler, Steve Weiland gave an update on the BSB, Doug Samuels of Lake City Bank
provided the case study, "Using CAA View 360 to Grow Revenue," and Richard Richardson of Phoenix-Hecht provided a report on Bank Pricing Trends. Pricing and growing
revenue was THE topic of the conference. We
headed out Thursday evening for a Progressive Dining Tour, stopping at three different restaurants for appetizers, dinner
and dessert!
We had a great group for Vision this year and realize that due to the economy some were unable to attend.
Because of this we have posted some of the presentations on our
"updates" page for you to download.

Did You Know That:
.............................
Version 3.07 contains an account level effective date for accounts?
If you add
Accounts manually keep in mind this effective date will mirror your Client / Workstation date and not your processing date. When an account is added,
for example, October 2nd, and you are just beginning the processing of September, your effective date will be October. If you process your
service volume and balance SUF’s, they will still post to the account for September, but when analysis is run and statements are created the new
account will not create a statement. Simply go to the Account Maintenance screen and adjust the effective date for this account and re-run
analysis and statements and you will see the new account’s statements in your file. If you use an SUF to add your accounts CAA will use your
processing date (MM/YYYY) from the SUF header as the effective date.
There is more Excel Output than ever before?
In the latest version
of CAA™ (3.07.23), there are 16 standard reports that can be exported or generated directly into Excel®. We have 6 reports that
can be generated in the WFG / Text format as well as an Excel® output that can be open from within CAA’s spooled catalog. The
reports are as follows:
- R04 – Maintenance Audit Journal
- R05 – Line Item services
- R16 – Service Price Exceptions
- R28 – Bank Level YTD Service Summary by Month
- R45 – Service Volume Usage Analysis
- R46 – Profitability Analysis Report
There are 10 other reports that provide an Excel® viewing option when you open the report to view from the spooled catalog. Those
reports are as follows:
- R03 – Codes and Descriptions
- R06 – Service Volume Exceptions
- R13 – Family Group and Relationships
- R14 – Account Listing by Title
- R19 – Monthly Profitability
- R20 – YTD Service Summary by Month
- R22 – Customer Profitability Ranking
- R23 – Fee Ranking Top / Bottom
- R34 – Account Listing
- R36 – Balance Review and Profits

User Preferences and Settings
In 3.08, we will introduce a user-level set of form preferences. These preferences will display data in specific forms
according to how YOU want them instead of the default setting that you currently have. Looking at the Service forms for example, these
forms always open in Service Statement Sequence order. You can now set User Preferences to eliminate all the extra mouse clicks involved with
opening multiple forms.
If the user prefers that the service screen always open in BSID order, the selection is made in the User Preferences screen
and saved to the database. Every time the user opens a service form, they have the data displayed in BSID order as desired. The
option to make a different selection while in the form will still be available.
User Preferences will be available for Account, Exceptions, Reporting, Service, Statements
and what is currently known as Workstation Level Options.
More Documentation Improvements On the Way!
For many years, CAA’s documentation has provided detailed descriptions of
the information appearing in standard reports. Beginning with version 3.08, the documentation will also provide details on
the information contained in other presentation types, including Multi-View. Each Multi-View format contains various
column headings, which appear in the Multi-View presentation generated by CAA. The new documentation lists each column
heading, and it provides an explanation of the data under that heading. This will help users better understand and use
the data contained in their Multi-Views.
If you have any questions about any of the items available in CAA please email Bill Monsour or phone him: 847.597.8156 for more information.
Upcoming WFG Webinars:
