Greetings CAA™ Clients:
When posting monthly SUF files, CAA treats input balance records differently
based upon the content?
We at WFG often get asked questions about what CAA requires for balances each month, and what will CAA do with the key balances
submitted each month. The answer, of course is, it depends! When processing average ledger, float, and collected balances each month, if CAA
finds that a ledger balance and a float amount are submitted, CAA will ignore whatever is given for the collected balance and
compute it automatically as: Collected = Ledger – Float If CAA finds no float amount submitted but only ledger and collected balances are submitted (float is blank or zero), CAA
will calculate float as: Float = Ledger – Collected If in the rare case where only a Ledger Balance is submitted (collected and float
are both blank or zero), the system checks a bank option for how to deal with this. Option -Y- says default the float value to the ledger value (ledger = float and collected is left at zero). If the bank option
is anything but -Y-, the system defaults the collected balance to the same value as the ledger balance (the float amount is
already zero). In the end, CAA will insure that Ledger – Float = Collected. How CAA arrives at that conclusion, will depend upon the values given to CAA
each month.
Do you have to setup price exceptions for multiple accounts in a family? A new option has been added to the 3.05 version of
CAA that allows you to copy exceptions from one account to another. This is the account that has exceptions I want to copy: The exceptions are now copied to your selected account.
We hope to see you there. Stay tuned for more information...

that should also be receiving these newsletters, let us know.
